While in the last post it was all about breaking the rules, the princess coloring pages here follow the cannon to the letter. Frills, gowns, hair and crowns. (Whoa… I’m a poet…)
So here is a princess with a really wild skirt and over-throw. She also has the full set of jewelry (bracelets, necklace and earrings), and high-fashion hair décor.
This coloring page features a princess, a crown, a castle and even a romantic moonlight…
This princess is dancing. Very cool ballroom windows in the back. Enough to bring out the interior decorator in the coloring artist.
And this:
Well… I thought the classic set needed a bit of a splash! So this is a wild girl also dancing… Ties in well with the previous picture, don’t you think?
That’s it for now.
Print and enjoy.

Breaking the princess coloring rules.
Generally princess coloring pages follow an unspoken cannon: Big hair, tiara, puffy skirts and frills.
And I think those are great. Frills have always been my favorite to draw and color.
But there is no reason to limit the princesses to that cannon. Thinking out of the box can be very useful now and then.
Therefore, here is a set of princesses that don't fit the stereotype, but are still fun.
Print the pictures and enjoy.

This is a princess coloring page with lots of frills. These ribbons can be colored in many different coordinating or contrasting colors – whatever suits your style.
This young princess looks like a bride. There is also a bouquet of gorgeous flowers in her hand.

Printable Princesses to Color and Admire
Four more princess coloring pages are here.
First, here is another queen (or princess?) of the night.
A very whimsical lady ready for a masquerade. I think this gown is made of very light fabrick, so translucent type markers would do best. Or silver type crayons for sparkles:
A princess and a dog. This is a very noble looking Dalmatian. And I love the maple leaves in her hand. Great alternative to a flower bouquet in the fall.
And this is a simple princess picture for younger girls. Gorgeous beading in her hair.
The cool thing about coloring pages is the free run of imagination they inspire. I love the ones where princesses are displayed on their own, and the girl can draw in any background she wants. Castles, parks, rivers, stars… I used to love to draw elaborate frames. That was my thing, I guess. A friend of mine was very good at castles, but I never quite mastered the task. My castles always looked like the tower of Pisa – ready to topple any second. Though, I must admit, the frames on the windows where quite a work of art.
Anyways, that’s enough for today. I will post more free printable princesses to color tomorrow.
See yah later.

Coloring Pages of Beautiful Princesses
Today I have a collection of some beautiful exotic princesses coloring pictures. Variety is the spice of life, and world cultures have produced plenty of inspiration for princesses of all kinds.
Girl out in the woods, with a beautiful long braid and a reflection in the water. Peaceful forest in the background. I call her a princess of the forest.
Asian princess with a classic hand fan, intricate garments and gorgeous crown.
And here is a Russian Tzarevna (princess in Russian) coloring page. Notice the moon crescent under the braid and the elaborate crown ornaments.
And here is a princess in a warm winter overcoat. I love the pompons. This is a good coloring page for the Christmas season, don’t you think?
That’s it for now. I hope the variety will keep your crayons occupied for a while. You can be sure that more princesses are coming soon.
Don’t forget to browse through the archive. The site has accumulated quite a few fantastic and free coloring pictures.

Princess Coloring Pages - Assorted
We’ve got more classic Disney princess coloring pages for you. And a few non-Disney, but beautiful princesses nevertheless. Free. The coloring pages. Not the princesses ;)
Here we have Ariel, the Little Mermaid, and Snow White with what looks like a most scrumptious pie I could really eat right now…
And then we have a few princesses that emphasize the most important thing in a princess coloring page – the gowns! Just look at all the layers and frills. You’ll need a whole box of crayons just to color them all.
And, of course, there are some wonderful accessories, like mirrors and hand fan and candle… And HAIR! It’s all about the hair! A princess has to have long luxurious hair. That’s a rule. I don’t know who wrote it, but it’s out there… Sometimes I wonder if it was started by shampoo companies, to prep the future customers :)
Or, and if there is fancy long hair, there is usually some kind of tiara as well. Or an elaborate accessory. I mean, how else would we know it’s a princess, right?
That’s it for now.
Happy printing and coloring!

Princess Coloring Pages - Aurora the Sleeping Beauty
Ok, here are a few coloring pages of princess Aurora, the Sleeping Beauty (though she is remarkably awake on these pictures :) )
Did you know that the first Sleeping Beauty story was published way back when in 1697? I didn’t either… But wiki told me so. Though I did know that it was written by Charles Perrault. I just wasn’t sure when…
Nevertheless, the Disney version is incredibly popular, and it’s the one most girls are more likely to know nowadays. So Aurora looking like this, is the one embedded in our minds.
And, of course, the unforgettable music from Tchaikovsky’s “Sleeping Beauty” ballet, seamlessly woven into cartoon. Unfortunately, there is no such thing as coloring pages for music… Unless you like doodling on sheet music ;)
Didn’t think so :)
I wonder, had this story been written now, what would be used instead of the spindle?
Ok, ok, nuf talking…
Here are those princess coloring pages:
Happy printing :)

Princess Coloring Page - Jasmine
This princess coloring page is of one of my personal favorite princesses, princess Jasmine (from Disney’s unforgettable “Alladin”). The reason I love her is that she is the first princess I know to look regal and royal and princessy while wearing pants! A princess with tiara and pants – that’s a major feat, and the geniuses at Disney accomplished it.
I always thought a princess that tames a tiger is a great role model :)
Have fun printing and coloring.
And check back real soon, cause lots more princess coloring pages are coming. It's hard to run out of ideas when it comes to princesses :)

And Even More Free Disney Princess Coloring Pages
We got inspired by Disney again and made these free princess coloring pages of Sleeping Beauty princess Aurora:
and one more printing sheet of Cinderella:
As I was saying before, when it comes to coloring princesses it's all about the dress and the hair. That's why Cinderella is on the cover of ome the most popular coloring books ever. She's got it all: hair, gloves, shoes and the gown! Of course she's also got a stunning face...
Sleeping Beauty has a lot of creative design going for her too. This Disney cartoon was specifically drawn to have a medieval feel and to look like living illustrations. So think of this printable as an illustration to a book you wrote :) I find that while with other printable princess pages the instinct is to blend and match the colours. But with princess Aurora -- the more contrasting the colours, the more stunning the effect. Also, regular pencils have a more striking illustration-type effect than crayons.
But that's just me. After all these coloring pages are free -- so print as many copies as you like and experiment all you want!

Two More Disney Princesses for Your Colouring Pleasure
And in this edition of this blog I'm happy to announce two more Free Disney Princess Coloring Pages. Fully printable, of course.
So, now we have the beautiful Snow White surrounded by her animal support group.
I love Snow White's hair bow. And I think the animals cuteness factor is a definete 10 out of 10.
And here we have Ariel, from "The Little Mermaid".
Princess Ariel certainly knows what she wants. And it ain't swimming. So please color accordingly. Princess Ariel coloring pages need some bold red hair, people!
Come to think of it, there is no reason to print it on white paper. Print this page on blue, and you'll have ready made ocean!
Have fun!

Disney Princess Coloring Pages
Over the years Disney has given us a whole slue of classic princess characters. So, naturally, what’s a princess coloring pages site without Disney princesses? Would be pretty ridiculous, wouldn’t it?
So, for your entertainment, here is our first installment of free printable Disney princesses, ready and waiting for your crayons.
First we have the wonderful Cinderella. Ever since this cartoon came out way back in 1950, girls everywhere had a new heroine to cheer. It’s not that Cinderella wasn’t around before… But the Disney drawings gave it the most fairy-tale like quality. It’s a classic for a reason. Disney artists are notoriously at the top of the game. And Cinderalla came out during the golden age…
Almost sixty years later girls still want Cinderella coloring pages. That’s a testimony to the power of creative imagination…
And as for this one:
... it's Belle from “Beauty and the beast”. Did you know that this is the only cartoon ever to be nominated for an Oscar in the best picture category? Belle is probably the most modern princess and a great role model for girls. For she is smart, brave and loyal.
Print and enjoy. (Right click and download the picture or click to print straight away).
